Eero Lehtinen—also known by his stage name Nikolai Blad—is a singer, songwriter, and guitarist. Born in Tampere, he has been playing guitar since the age of eight, initially playing blues in the band Corner Club. Later, he added country, jazz, and various types of folk music to his repertoire.
In 1991, he performed for the first time in Helsinki under the stage name Nikolai Blad.

Nikolai has gained recognition in folk music circles and the press, including the title of Etnokeisari (Ethno Emperor) and victory in a singing competition at the Kaustinen Folk Music Festival. He has played everything from blues to jazz and folk music and has released a vinyl EP and six CDs, most recently in collaboration with Ikiranga in 2025.

His music is known for its powerful vocals, distinctive guitar playing, and life-affirming lyrics that combine everyday and dreamlike elements. The press has described him as a humane and moving artist whose works allow constantly new interpretations.
